Deer Hunting - The Experience
Thunder Mountain Lodge and Preserve, located in northeast Alabama, provides an exceptional setting for the most discriminating hunter. The property's ridges and hollows abound with beautiful hardwoods, trickling streams and tranquil ponds. The Preserve offers a highly challenging and rewarding deer hunting experience. In off-season the lodge is a great place to stay for a family vacation or business retreat.

Our main focus is wildlife. Along with our native food sources, we also plant alfalfa and clover fields for the deer and maintain numerous feeding stations where we feed high protein pellets, throughout the spring and summer months. All hunts are conducted on a 1-on-1 basis (each hunter has a personal guide). Each hunter has the option to have their hunt videotaped.

The number of hunts are limited each year to assure quality animals every year. Also, to assure your privacy and our ability to provide you with personal attention, we limit reservations to one group on the property at any given time.

Through an intensive management program and the introduction of giant northern whitetail to our herd, we have produced deer of rare and outstanding quality. Our harvest will include bucks with an age minimum of 4 years, some with B & C scores over 170. Your hunt includes free, direct transportation of your trophy to the taxidermist.
